Start with the model version
A model name is only part of the story. An evaluation should identify the version tested, when the samples were collected, and the settings used to generate them.
A useful model update explains what changed in the test set and which writing situations it represents.
Look beyond a familiar sample
A few recognizable generated paragraphs are useful for exploring a report. Broader evaluation needs a separate collection of documents with known origins.
Look for results across genres and lengths, and keep edited or mixed-authorship writing distinct from entirely generated samples.
Make room for uncertainty
New model support should come with a clear account of the evaluation and its limits. Read the passages and their context alongside any classification.
